- "'Frenemies' then...Enemies are so 20th century."
- ―Nelle to Andrea Martínez.
Nelle Brent (also known as Miss Brent) is a minor character in the HITMAN™ mission The Showstopper.
Overview[]
Brent is a Democratic Party politician attending the IAGO auction.
HITMAN™[]
Brent is found at the bar on the balcony east of the auction. She recognizes Andrea Martínez and addresses her, mentioning her strong ties to the Delgado Drug Cartel and jokes about how much she'd have for every internal memo she's read of her. Andrea cuts her by jokingly responding 12 bucks, mentioning that the Delgados have eyes in Washington. Brent asks if Andrea's village was burned down by a gang of wanted men when she was twelve, how her and Hector Delgado went on a rampage against the gang, during which Hector lost his leg to an RPG fired from a cello case, all of which is dismissed by Andrea as fake. After a short pause, Brent and Andrea discuss Dalia Margolis and Viktor Novikov, after which they joke about being "frenemies".
If Dalia heads to the bar, she may talk to Brent. Brent mentions a campaign starting in the southern states next month and asks Margolis for anything that makes the Republican Party "look megalomaniacal, hypocritical, outdated, inbred or just plain evil". Once Dalia agrees, Brent says that the former will have a "powerful friend" in Washington.
After the conversation, Brent will walk into the hallway to talk to a colleague called Jacqueline. During the phone call, she learns that Thomas Cross has made a massive donation and wants to meet, to her surprise. She then says she'll wrap it up in time to handle someone called McAvoy.
Behind the Scenes[]
Unlike many other characters, in the leaked 2015 alpha build of HITMAN™, Nelle had very minor differences to her retail counterpart. For instance in the leak she had a buzzcut, lack of earrings, different NPC head model and her dress clipped through her waist whenever walking around, which occasionally revealed her rear. Her drinking wine animation was yet to be implemented yet and her phone-call idle animation was vastly different to the retail version. Aside from this not much else was different compared her retail counterpart. In HITMAN™ III, the dialogue between her and Andrea Martínez was removed for unknown reasons however is still present in HITMAN™ & HITMAN™ 2. Concept art of her exists and she was apparently created by Simon Lindwall.
Trivia[]
- Brent can be seen taking out her own personal tablet occasionally throughout the mission, implying she is partaking in the auction from the balcony.
- Brent's arms clip through her sleeves when raised.
