Nightvision Goggles are an equipment item introduced in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and later returning in Hitman: Contracts. They are optical instruments that allow sight for users in levels of light approaching total darkness. They are most often used by the military and law enforcement agencies, but are available to civilian users. The Night Vision Goggles can be equipped directly from the inventory. They are best used in rooms with low to no light at all. It is advisable not to use them in rooms with a normal amount of light, as this can have a blinding effect on the screen
Appearences[]
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin[]
Not holstering or unequipping a gun renders guards hostile, even with appropriate disguises.
Hitman: Contracts[]
Returning in Hitman: Contracts, the Night-Vision Goggles appear mostly the same, and will force a first person view when equipped.
Later Series[]
The accessibility of light switches, and the lack of darkened areas in Blood Money hade made the NVGs unnecessary, and thus they make no appearance in that game. They make no later appearances either
