Savi is a minor character in Agent 47: Birth of the Hitman, prominent in the second and third issues of the comic. She worked as a gang boss and arms dealer before being usurped by a young Diana Burnwood.
Background[]
Not much is known about Savi's early life, except for that her father used to fight dogs for sport before she killed him. In 1989 she meets Diana Burnwood in an alleyway after the latter demanded to see her. She states that while Diana has much to learn, Savi admires her pluckiness and affectionately calls her "little bird". After two weeks, she commands her men to fight Diana in a lesson about patience, claiming that if she wanted others to destroy a life, some part of who she is has to be destroyed first. While tending to her wounds from the fight, she remarks that she's helping Diana because she's curious to see what happens, and later informs Diana that she's found one of the Blue Seed Pharmaceutical executives for her; Alvin Forrestal.
Death[]
The first time Diana confronted one of the executives, Alvin, alone in his office, she hesitated to pull the trigger and he was killed by one of Savi's snipers instead. After which, Savi considered Diana a failure and when police showed up to investigate the gunshots, Diana fled the area. Offended that Savi would put her in such a dangerous position, she recruited Savi's best men and overthrew her in response. This resulted in Savi's death in her own home where she was shot by her former men on Diana's order.
Legacy[]
Diana notes that for all Savi had taught her, the lesson that stuck with her the most was manipulation. After her death, Diana converted Savi's assets and continued to run guns in small amounts. She began a new, small murder-for-hire business, most of her clients being abused women and other everyday people under difficult circumstances. Savi's former men were anxious at the new business prospect, however, Diana assured them their clients would be inexhaustible and paid them weekly. She kept her operation running at least until 1998 when she had to flee the country because of a contract gone awry.
Appearance[]
She has straight, black hair, a straight nose, and a prominent jawline.
Trivia[]
- She often wears a long black coat, lined with fur at the collar and sleeves. Oddly enough, while it appears to be the same coat, in one issue it's accented with a belt but in another with two gold buttons.
- She has many vices, drinking in many of the panels, as well as smoking, as seen in issue two.
- While not mentioned by name, Savi is alluded to in The Farewell by Aron Ford Jr. (or 47 disguised as him), who will give a short description of Diana's early life, and that Diana wanted to "seek justice outside the system", something Savi facilitated.
