Shanghai is one of the largest cities in China and the world. Most notably, it was atop a Shanghai skyscraper where Wazir Kale and his cell assassinated a Providence operative, likely Lin Xi.

- During Freedom Fighters, Sean Rose mentions an upcoming operation in Shanghai; Ezra Berg disapproves of his plan, which involves kidnapping Chinese children.
- During Situs Inversus, one of the resort guards mentions that Nails flew a mission in Shanghai as a former CICADA pilot.
