The Supervisor outfit (also nicknamed the Gentle Giant Supervisor outfit) is a disguise cut from Hitman: Absolution and HITMAN™.
Overview[]
Hitman: Absolution[]
During the development of Hitman: Absolution, one of the locations that made its way to modeling, designing and polishing was the Gentle Giant Supermarket. The location was to be featured either in "Operation Sledgehammer" with Agency Assault Troopers executing Hope civilians due to the public operations protocol Section 3[1]. In the location 47's primary goal was to escape the supermarket however during the midst of leaving the supermarket and ICA grunts executing civilians, originally there was to be an intervene challenge where 47 saves the Supervisor from one of the grunts tasked to kill him. Unfortunately the location and disguise were ultimately cut when the game released. However the supervisor, Patrick Basham made his way into the final game in the segment "Burn".
HITMAN™[]
In the 2015 leaked build of HITMAN™, if the player pressed the "O" key and switched through each-disguise they'd find the Supervisor disguise. The disguise using the Absolution head model of 47 appearing to be finished. Its unknown why the disguise is used in the leaked 2015 alpha build but it could be for a place-holder as no NPCs carry the disguise. In 2021 as a much lengthier build of the 2015 alpha was leaked, it turned out that Patrick Basham's NPC model was used for various male NPCs in Sapienza however only as a placeholder.
Trivia[]
- Thanks to the disguises' existence in the 2015 leaked build of HITMAN™ it shows how far IO-Interactive got far with the Supermarket location from Absolution.
- The disguise is never mentioned in any official behind the scenes media promoted for Absolution.
