Targets are featured characters that appear in all missions in the World of Assassination Trilogy.
Overview[]
Targets are high-profile subject NPCs that are required to be assassinated in a contract. There can be more than one target required to eliminate in every mission and there can also be more to the mission than only assassinating a target.
Most targets featured in missions are accompanied by at least one bodyguard that will follow them throughout their routes. Eminently, some targets are able to see through certain disguises, due to being conspicuous and observant within their specific environment.
While on instinct mode, targets generally appear to be highlighted in red (except for Elusive Targets and some potential targets in Escalation Contracts), green for marking more than one target in creating a contract, yellow for bodyguards and the Siberian Tigers in Sniper Assassin, and violet for suspects of hunting down syndicate leaders in Freelancer.
In every contract, at least one target should be present in a mission. The maximum number of targets within one contract is five. There is (possibly was) however a glitch that made possible the creation of contracts with no targets. That was a risky method that caused several issues and other glitches, such as going under the map or game crash. Overall, targets in main missions and in most campaigns (except for some targets in escalations) can be killed with any method and in any disguise while on a mission.
