Walkthrough[]

The following information may contain spoilers.

Your objective is to retrieve the 3 pieces of the Black Almond's treasure map and combine them to locate and dig up her chest of treasures. The pieces are marked on your map, sprauled across three corners of the island. While you can obtain them in any order, the one closest to the following objective is the piece from the sea, so it is recommended to finish with that.

The first piece of the treasure map is located in the Security Break Room under the Gym, next to the Med Clinic and opposite the Water Activity Center; the closest starting location to this is the Resort Pool Area (Mastery Level 7). The map is stuck on a notice board in the bottom-left corner of the room, next to a door. However, this door is locked, and there are two life guards nearby that will spot you if you attempt to pick the lock or force the door open. You cannot use the other door, as you will be spotted by one or more of the resort guards on break in the room. What you can do is throw an object, such as a coin, next to the locked door to make one of the guards in the break room open the door to see what's going on. Keep the door open by standing next to it, wait for the resort guard to return to where he was, then quickly run in, grab the map piece and leave, before the lifeguards notice you trespassing.

The second piece of the treasure map is held by Captain Rutherford, the old boat captain at the Cocktail Bar who is also searching for the remaining pieces of the treasure map. He stands by the corner overlooking the western beach ranting to himself, then goes to the bar to drink from a bottle of whiskey. His glass can be poisoned with an emetically-poisonous flower plucked from the bushes below the bar, but you will need a Resort Staff disguise if you want to do this without raising suspicion, although it is possible to poison Rutherford's glass in your suit without being detected. The closest Resort Staff disguise is found in the back-room of the Cocktail Bar which you can access by climbing through an open passage, worn by a male member of the resort staff. You should distract the two staff members by throwing a coin into one of the opposite corners of the room, then knock both of them out before they face each other again. Once Rutherford is poisoned, he will go to the men's toilets under the bar to vomit, where you can subdue him and take his map piece (and his clothes, if you wish to do so).

The third and final piece of the treasure map is in a bottle washed up on the shore east of the island Villa. In order to get there from Rutherford, you should follow the northerly path up to the Villa's front entrance, then pass it, climb onto a short wooden platform, then vault the perimeter wall. Stay crouched as you move through the bushes towards the beach with the sea-plane, and you'll eventually come across a run-down pier with a bottle buried in the sand, next to a skull and crossbones. Shoot the bottle or throw something heavy at it (like the hammer found on the wooden platform) to break the bottle and release the map piece.

With all three pieces obtained, the location of the Black Almond's treasure is revealed: on Steven Bradley's private island, buried under a palm tree with a skull and crossbones marking the spot. If the last piece of the treasure map you retrieve is the one from the sea, then all you need to do to get to the island is cross the shallow water behind the sea-plane. Make sure to look out for the villa guards and resort staff populating the island as you run under the bar at the middle of the island to discover a shovel leaning against a palm tree. Pick that up, and a prompt to dig will appear next to you. 47 will immediately dig up a chest, completing the objective and allowing you to exfiltrate, either via the sea-plane, or the water scooter if you pick up its keys near the chest.

Note that, after retrieving all the map pieces, you can skip having to dig up the chest by bringing in Jarl's Pirate Saber (Mastery Level 2) and equipping it, which you can then drop and proceed with the rest of the contract. Alternatively, if you already know the location of the chest, you can dig it up straight away and skip having to retrieve the treasure map pieces. The quickest way to do this is starting at the Private Villa Pier disguised as Villa Staff (Mastery Level 18), although you will still be trespassing on the Private Island in that disguise.

Walkthrough[]

The following information may contain spoilers.

With the treasure retrieved, 47 dons The Buccaneer suit and appears on the stretch of beach between the Villa and the Private Island, equipped with Jarl's Pirate Saber to eliminate Steven Bradley and the seven villa guards (Rami Carter, Clark Foster, Larry Cox, Nick Swanson, William Patterson, Howard Garcia and Xiang Guozhi) that populate the Private Island with your trusted saber. Note that there are two resort staff members on the island that are not targets, so make sure they don't see or hear the massacre happening around them, preferably by knocking them out before they can witness anything or alert anyone.

Since the island and everyone on it are pretty much isolated from the rest of the map unless a loud gunshot goes off near the public parts of the map, you're free to be as direct as you want in eliminating the targets. As soon as the non-targets are pacified you should accumulate as many throwable items as possible, then, while hiding in the bushes, throw them at your targets at will; as long as you aren't spotted (which you shouldn't be as long as you remain crouching in the foliage) the guards won't attack you and will be stunned by seeing bodies being eliminated or knocked out. It is recommended to eliminate Bradley first as he is a VIP and will cause a target lockdown if he is alerted. Also, look out for the pair of cameras at the south-side of the island, as there is one guard who walks under them and if his body is killed within the cameras' range it will be spotted by non-targets, so wait for him to walk to the pair of guards by the crates (or, if you are playing this in HITMAN™ III, you can also throw things at the cameras to destroy them quietly, as opposed to shooting them with un-silenced weaponry). Once all 8 targets are eliminated via the saber you can leave, again via the sea-plane or the water scooter.

Walkthrough[]

The following information may contain spoilers.

The new targets are Ashley Montague and Earl White, two of Haven's clients staying on the island. Montague has his own water scooter that he parks on the Natural Beach, whilst White uses Steven Bradley's water scooter, parked by the Private Island.

In order to eliminate these two with cannons, the Private Island now has two cannons installed, one under the bar in the middle of the island, and the other on the top-right corner, as well as piles providing an infinite supply of cannonballs and bags of gunpowder to fire them (as well as the targets dropping cannonballs of their own). You must now be more cautious at the start of the mission, as White walks around the Private Island to get to the water scooter and drive it, passing by most of the targets. The only way to eliminate Montague and White with the cannon is when they are driving the water scooters, and if they are alerted they won't do that, so be patient and wait for him to get on the scooter. You can still take people out and hide their bodies in the foliage, but at the start of the mission it is imperative White isn't alerted.

After that, you should eliminate everyone with the saber and knock out the non-targets before using the cannons, as they are very loud and will attract unwanted attention if you leave people conscious on the island. Montague and White, once on the water scooters, won't notice anything, so don't worry if you miss. Note that if you knock out the female resort staff member or kill the villa guard by a cannon and leave them where they were standing, White will notice the bodies when he gets off the scooter, so make sure they in particular are hidden in the foliage.

Once everyone on the island is dealt with, you can now use the cannons. You should target White first, as he may disembark from the scooter and hear you firing at Montague without you noticing. Go to the cannon under the bar and load a cannonball and a bag of gunpowder into it, then go to the back of it and prepare to fire on White as he drives the water scooter. At the start of his route, White drives (from the cannon's perspective) left, then up, then left again. As soon as White turns left from going up, fire the cannon to take him out.

As for Montague, do exactly the same things to load and prepare the other cannon. Montague's timing is a lot simpler: at the start of his route, he goes left; just before he drives in front of the cannon, fire and he should drive straight into the cannonball's path.

You can now exfiltrate via the sea-plane, as the water scooter is obviously no longer an option.
