The Bookkeeper is the twenty-second Elusive Target Mission in HITMAN™ and tasks you with eliminating Pertti Järnefelt and stealing his Ledger.

Diana Burnwood (VO): "Good morning, 47. Your target is Pertti Järnefelt, bookkeeper to the global underworld and considered to be a criminal myth by law enforcement agencies the world over.
In truth the target has lead an unassuming yet comfortable life managing the finances of kleptocracies, terrorists and tyrants for decades. The client, Locksley, has assembled information on the target's movements and conclusively linked him to the shadow client's operations in Colorado. This makes his elimination a priority. The client has also requested that you retrieve the target's ledger. Note that the target is extremely paranoid and will attempt to flee at the first sign of overt damage. Plan accordingly.

Trivia[]
- The client for this contract is called "Locksley", the same person who talked to Taheiji Koyama about the ICA, therefore making Koyama issue The Sarajevo Six contracts. Locksley is also the client for the Patient Zero campaign.
- To complete the mission and escape, the Ledger, inside a locker in Sean Rose's bedroom, must be obtained in addition to eliminating the target.
- Despite this, the base challenge will be completed by simply taking out the target where as the silent assassin challenge requires every objective to be completed in order to acquire.
