The Constant (Arthur Edwards) and his status is a primary objective and is a VIP in The Ark Society mission in HITMAN™ 2.

Gifts and Curses[]

Following Janus' assassination at the hands of 47, the Partners worried that Edwards had almost exposed all of them.

Precautions[]

To ensure his loyalty, they forced Edwards to implant himself with a poison chip linked to a kill switch entrusted to the Washington sisters, much to his chagrin.

The Ark Society[]

As per usual, Edwards attended the annual gathering of the Ark Society, a clandestine survivalist club for billionaires founded by his late predecessor, where he was later kidnapped by 47 and Grey. He is marked as blue when on instinct mode because he is considered as a VIP in the level. Eliminating him during the gameplay will instantly fail the mission.

Social Climbing[]

"Play the social game and present incriminating evidence against Sophia Washington to the Constant."

Social Climbing is a Mission Story where the Constant's fate becomes tested. In order to start the mission story, the laptop inside the Security Office can be searched to gather more intel about it. Sophia Washington has a plan to test the Constant’s loyalty.

In this mission, Agent 47 pretends to be as Marek Sinclair, the designer of the poison capsule in the Constant’s neck and set up a private meeting with him per Sophia’s wish. It would be a shame if the Constant found out about Sophia’s tricks. Pacifying him before or during that will instantly fail the mission story since he is the Key Character in there.

Extraction[]

Agent 47 can optionally help Lucas Grey extract Arthur Edwards out of the castle grounds and make him get into the speedboat. He can do this by finding at least one kill switch either from Zoe or Sophia's corpses. Talking to the Constant will make him initiate by leading him down all the way to the pier.

If the Constant is compromised when either both or one of the twins are still alive, then the Final Countdown challenge will be triggered. The player will be given only 5 minutes for the Washington Twins to be dead.

The helicopter exit in front of the chapel, located around the custodians will no longer be available for the player to exit, since he will be riding that.

A Bad Hand[]

Edwards is later held hostage aboard their boat, his chip surgically removed. He reveals the names of the Partners after being interrogated by Grey, Diana, and 47, suggesting that they "follow the money" in order to determine their whereabouts.

Trivia[]

  • He is marked color blue on instinct mode during the game both during the main mission and in other escalations of the game.
  • Surprisingly, he can be marked as a target in Contracts mode.
  • After the Partners faked their deaths and allegedly took on new identities, all of their corporate silent shares were transferred to Edwards, who eventually managed to escape his captivity.
  • This makes the story of the game continue both in New York and in Haven Island respectively.
