The Dartmoor Garden Show is a unique Escalation Contract styled as a permanent seasonal event and independent mission, released during HITMAN™ III's "Season of Lust" on August 5th, 2021.
After the death of the family's matriarch and the fall of Providence, the grounds of the Carlisle family's residential estate Thornbridge Manor has been opened to the public to host a garden show, with 4 floral designers vying for the top spot and attempting to impress the judges. However, one of the contestants, with a judge as their accomplice, wants to guarantee they win, and have hired Agent 47 to permanently get rid of the competition and any judges that may compromise their victory.

The game randomly selects one of four contestants to eliminate and one that must survive all three levels (highlighted in blue in instinct) every time the Escalation is reset. You don't need to worry about the client being eliminated by anyone but yourself, so you can focus on the target. If you are playing in Deterministic Mode by selecting that starting location, all 4 contestants will be highlighted, but you only need to eliminate one of them; there is also no-one you need to protect. To acquire a Mansion Staff disguise, one man isolates himself to have a smoke break next to the east gardens, where you can lure him to a garden shredder and hide his body in there. You can also get the disguise off another man on break smoking on a bench in the delivery area, although you will need to get rid of a nearby security guard and move the staff member away from the kissing couple first or they will spot his body. For a Gardener disguise, there are several of them on the outskirts of the mansion, especially the Graveyard, that are easily isolated in order to acquire their disguise. Emetic rat poison can be found near the bins by the delivery area, and in a wheelbarrow by the Graveyard. There are also emetically poisonous flowers in the Greenhouse. However, you should skip the middleman and grab some of the lethally poisonous frogs that have escaped the Greenhouse and are now scattered around the estate. There are 4 in total: one in the Sans Pureil garden, one by the speedboat, one being looked at by a mansion security guard to the north-east of the Greenhouse, and another on the opposite side of the path a man is skipping stones on by the Graveyard. If they hop away before you can grab them you will need to retreat a short distance to get them to respawn. Wrenches can be found in a white van next to the mansion's front doors, behind the main stage behind the mansion and by the Graveyard. Car batteries are obtained from the delivery area, the back of the Graveyard and behind the main stage. Screwdrivers are placed on a workbench by the bridge exit, in a bucket next to The Gate of Paradise garden and next to the lawnmower being worked on by the Graveyard. 1: Manon Beaulieu - Beaulieu is the creator of the French-styled Sans Pareil garden, yet unlike any of the other contestants, she does not spend any time there. She is searching for "inspiration" around the west side of the manor. She leans on a railing having a smoke near her exhibit, then walks onto the path leading to the Graveyard, stopping by a hose. She then walks over to the fruit and vegetable stand by the security station, then goes past the confection stands to return to the balcony. One method to eliminate her is via poisoning. Acquire a Mansion Staff disguise and some poison, then serve lemonade at the Cosdon Hill creamery stand by the security station. Beaulieu will walk past and you can serve a cup to her, but make sure to poison it before offering it to her. If you lethally poison it, she will die on the spot. If you use emetic poison, however, she will walk over to a creek next to a fishing gardener to vomit into it, where you can promptly push her in and drown her. Another way is to sabotage a gas heater lamp next to the stand. In order to sabotage it without raising suspicion, you will need to be disguised as a Gardener. Beaulieu smokes next to the lamp, so she will detonate it herself if it is leaking, and in most cases it will only eliminate her. You can also shoot it from a distance using a silenced pistol, for example. Finally, she walks past two hoses that can create puddles she walks across that can be electrocuted. The safer option is the hose on the path to the Graveyard, as you can turn the tap on behind a wall without being spotted. This will make the man sitting on the stairs looking at the direction of the puddle get up to turn it off, which can distract him long enough for you to throw a car battery into the puddle while Beaulieu is standing in it and electrocute her without anyone else spotting you. 2: Ken Takeuchi - Takeuchi is the creator of the Japanese-styled Enshu's Pavilion, and spends the majority of the time circling it, looking at the koi pond from the bridge and the pavilion itself, as well as having photos taken by a man permanently standing in the garden. In order to get rid of the two people sitting on a bench in the garden, as well as the photographer, you should turn the faucet of the sprinkler connected to a hose on from outside the garden to get the people on the bench to permanently leave and the photographer to turn it off (you will need a Gardener disguise or crouch when doing so to avoid being spotted). While another person sometimes comes into the garden for a quick look, for the most part Takeuchi is now on his own, and can be eliminated by dropping a bird cage on him when he stands on the bridge, can be pushed into the koi pond from the bridge or the pavillion, or electrocuted by the puddle created by the sprinkler using a car battery. There is also a crate you can hide his body in if you are quick enough to kill him and drag his body over without being spotted. 3: Gulshan Yazdani - Yazdani's creation is the Arab-styled The Gate of Paradise, and alternates between there and the central courtyard where the Fountain once was. He takes a puff from the shisha pipe in his garden, which can be poisoned after distracting a woman standing next to it or disguising yourself as Mansion Staff, and if done emetically will make him vomit in one of the portaloos next to his garden that he can be drowned in, though watch out for a mansion staff member that uses the facilities that may spot you. He also complains to a gardener trying to fix a broken lawn mower just outside. If you lure away the gardener, you can cause an oil leak using a wrench, then lure Yazdani onto the puddle with a coin and subsequently shoot the puddle to detonate the mower for an explosion accident kill. The drawback to this is that there is no-where near this spot to hide the gardener's body, so you will need to juggle her and the target and make sure she is away from the spot and won't see you when you shoot it. Yazdani also stands next to a wine barrel that can be punctured with a screwdriver then electrocuted with a car battery, but this is practically impossible to do undetected. Finally, as Yazdani walks back to his garden from the courtyard, he walks under a bunch of coconuts that can be shot to bring down onto Yazdani and kill him, as well as complete a challenge. 4: Evelyn Crane - Crane is the curator of the English-styled God Save the Green exhibit. She remains there, looking over her garden and drinking tea under a gazebo. Crane's tea can be poisoned when disguised as Mansion Staff using a lethal frog or emetic poison to then drown her in a portaloo. Alternatively, you can acquire a Gardener disguise and a screwdriver. Turn the faucet on by the gazebo then, while Crane is turning it off, tamper with a lamp next to it (making sure to stand as far away from the puddle as possible) to electrocute her. After eliminating the target, you can exfiltrate. The speedboat key is located on a table behind the Greenhouse. |

As if it wasn't incriminating enough to eliminate every contestant except the one that put out a contract on all of them, you must now eliminate the 2 judges that aren't conspiring with them as well. On top of that, you must ensure the judge that is secretly aiding the client isn't eliminated, but again, the only threat to their life is you, so make sure to not accidentally shoot them, blow them up, etc. If you are playing in Deterministic Mode, once again you can pick any 2 of the 3, but you won't fail the mission if you kill the third judge. See the walkthrough for level 1 for tips on where to find tools, disguises and poisons that you need for the majority of the intentional kill methods listed below. 1: Cornelia Stuyvesant - The only child of deceased Providence Partner Marcus Stuyvesant, Cornelia will go to all 4 exhibits and, if their curator is present, talk to them about it. She is notably the only one out of the 7 potential targets to go to Beaulieu's Sans Pareil garden, but there isn't much to talk about there. There is a mole hill you can plant items in, but this is a suspicious action unless you are disguised as a Gardener. However, the only way this can kill Stuyvesant is if you plant an explosive, such as the remote explosive at the back of the security station on the west-side of the manor. In order to eliminate Stuyvesant in a more covert manner, there are a few options: one is to throw a coin on the other side of the outer hedges of Beaulieu's garden when Stuyvesant is standing by the eye statue and hoping she will be sent to investigate, at which point you can kill her and hide her in the convenient crate. Secondly, if Takeuchi has already been dealt with in a previous level, you can use the same method of luring everyone out of his garden to crush Stuyvesant under the bird cage or push her into the koi pond when she stands by it and takes out her clipboard. Finally, when she leaves Crane's God Save the Green to go to Yazdani's The Gate of Paradise, you can lure her around the corner by the garden shredder, knock her out, place her in it and shred her body, but be careful, as a mansion staff member that sometimes takes a smoke break near there might get in the way. 2: Sebastian Sato - The famous fashion designer once again in 47's sights after a couple of close calls in Paris and Dubai. He goes onto the stage in the courtyard to inspect the microphone, smokes near a gas lamp next to it and goes into the manor Sitting Room, where he tastes some appetizers on a buffet table and takes a seat in the middle of the room. There is a Branson MD-2 Microphone in the white van to the left of the manor's front doors that can be swapped with the microphone on the stage. Once you've done this, increase the voltage using the regulator behind it, and when Sato holds the stand to speak into the mic, he will electrocute himself. However, being on stage, swapping the mics and upping the voltage are all suspicious actions unless you are disguised as Mansion Staff, so make sure to equip that disguise first. There is also a gas heater lamp in front of the stage that Sato smokes by. Causing a leak by shooting it once (you can tamper with it using a wrench, but this is a suspicious action in any disguise and will certainly get you caught) will mean that the next time Sato smokes by it it will detonate and kill him, which, as long as a guard or another judge isn't walking by, will only kill Sato and preserve your Silent Assassin rating. Finally, when he enters the manor's Sitting Room, there are a couple of kill methods, but bear in mind that you will need a Mansion Staff or Bodyguard disguise to not trespass in there. You can poison the entrées he eats when disguised as Mansion Staff (which will lead him to the portaloos if emetically poisoned), or you can drop the chandelier directly above him when he goes to sit on the sofa in the middle of the room by shooting its cord from a hidden spot. He won't be crushed if he's already sitting, so you may want to move him closer to the table with a coin. 3: Lucy Phillips - An artist and freelance designer with deep admiration for Cornelia Stuyvesant and the Stuyvesants' Art Foundation. She peruses the various exotic plants in the Greenhouse, then goes to the cider bar in the middle of the gardens to eat some entrées, has a smoke by the tables behind the bar, then returns to the Greenhouse. Within the Greenhouse, there are a few birdcages that can be dropped on Phillips when the cords suspending them are shot. As they are within a greenhouse, you can even shoot from outside from a secluded spot where you won't be spotted. She stands still under a cage when speaking to a gardener, which is the prime moment of opportunity. You can also poison her entrées when disguised as Mansion Staff. If you use emetic poison, she will go to the portaloos by the Gate of Paradise exhibit. You can also use the wine barrel to electrocute her and the propane flask on the grill to blow her up, but you will be most likely spotted tampering with these, or you'll cause collateral damage, so these kill methods aren't recommended. |

Trivia[]
- Most of Thornbridge Manor, excluding the living room, cannot be accessed during the mission. The doors inside and outside of the mansion are sealed off, while a guard at the entrance will tell 47 that the owners do not want anyone on the property. Building features such as climbable pipes and open windows that ordinarily allow the player entry into the mansion have been removed. However, the special ladder leading to the balcony outside of Zachary's bedroom can be used if the player has previously broken it open.
- Cornelia Stuyvesant will mention to Gulshan Yazdani how his exhibit "brings up bad memories", likely referring to her father's assassination in On Top of the World.
- In The Gate of Paradise a sponge next to a pineapple can be found in the fountain.
- Alexa Christine Carlisle's tombstone has been sealed in place and is surrounded by flowers, which indicates these events take place some time after Death in the Family, however, it's currently not clear how long after her death this mission takes place.
- The text on her tombstone misspells "Christine" as "Cristine", an irony considering her efforts in life to protect the Carlisle legacy (although this is likely a spelling error on IOI's part).
- This mission uses Whittleton Creek's background music, including the music played at the Wilsons' BBQ Party at the food stand and market, and Janus' theme inside the manor itself.
