Victoria's Bodyguards (also known as Victoria's Ex-Bodyguards or Diana's Last Resort) are a group of minor target characters in Hitman: Absolution. They appear in the mission "A Personal Contract" during the final segment "Mansion Ground Floor".
Overview[]
After Diana Burnwood's assassination, Agent 47 is tasked with taking Victoria to keep her safe as she was his personal VIP. However four SEC9 mansion guards were outside her door. This is where 47 takes them all down and takes Victoria for proper shelter.
Behind the Scenes[]
The unused Contracts Mode names of all the four bodyguard's.
When the Contracts Mode was released, four segments were dropped from the mode. Those being: Gardens (only saved for Manuel Francis' Contracts tutorial), Greenhouse, Cliffside and Mansion 2nd Floor. Due to this change, it lead to many names of unidentified minor character NPC's to be left unknown. Thankfully in the game files for Absolution (or modding the game) all the guards' names remained intact along with their Contracts icons as well. Their names (in order) being: Daniel Cox, Brian Whitman, Gordon Thomason & Richard Massey. Its up to the players head-cannon if their names are still canon in the series or not.
Trivia[]
- The bodyguard's themselves have no unique scripted dialogue. And only speak if one of the four guard's is killed in which they spew generic hostile dialogue.
- The guard's sole purpose was to introduce the Point Shooting mechanic in the mission. In purist mode however, its optional.
- Brian appears to be hyper-fixated on the objective as he is the only guard that looks paranoid, consistently looking around the immediate area.
- Victoria's reaction to the bodyguards' demise is never made clear or mentioned.
