The Virus Prototype is an intel item featured in the World of Assassination Trilogy. Throwing this in close proximity to Francesca De Santis will result in an unnoticed poison kill, making this an excellent tool for completing the mission. No other NPC in the game is affected by this item.

Trivia[]
- The ship that contains the vial is not conspicuous in instinct mode nor is the container visible until the ship is shattered with a shot or thrown object.
- The vial will shatter on impact if thrown, but will remain intact if the player drops it out of their inventory.
- While the Prototype Virus can be dropped, it cannot be placed.
