Notes[]
- The "?" target is an unnamed female assassin sent by the Franchise after Agent 47. She is an optional target, there is no reward for her assassination yet her death will affect the rating. The assassin hides in plain sight in a corridor in the private lounge, making out with a guest. When she sees 47, regardless of the disguise, she invites him to a room. In the room, if not outright confronted, a cutscene will play where the assassin kills Agent 47 with a Stiletto, which fails the mission.
- There is an unconscious courtesan in a private room Franchise assassin invites 47 to.
- The target's dog can be sedated with poisoned sausages from the kitchen.
- A security guard stationed by the right side of the door at the helipad makes a complete circle around the helicopter and then enters the building.
- A drunken Santa in the kitchen will not ask Agent 47 to leave if he is trespassing; however, he becomes a witness.
- If 47 is witnessed using the staff elevator, a guard will be waiting outside the elevator's exit floor.
- NPCs do not use the staff elevator.
- Although it is possible to use a Sedative Syringe or Poison Syringe to poison guests' glasses, it is not possible to do discretely (except if using cheats).
Bugs[]
- PC In some cracked versions of Hitman: Blood Money, the mission has a glitch that causes the game to crash whenever the player throws or drops any item or stops while dragging a body.
- If Agent 47 kills a seated security guard in the wine cave room in staff quarters with a Kitchen Knife, it will be impossible to take his disguise or weapon.
- There is a male guest who will remain seated and unconcerned if there is an alarm or fighting on the premises.
Trivia[]
- Weirdly all available bathrooms for guests are in the VIP area.
- Some walls have illustrations with Japanese/Chinese characters: 体 - body, 女 - woman.
- It is the only mission in the game where disguise is not stored in a laundry bag but is folded up on the floor.
- The worker showering in the staff's shower room sings "Drunken Sailor", a traditional sea shanty.
- In Hitman: Absolution mission One of a Kind, a newspaper article on a wall reports the Bingham-de Havilland assassination. It has a clear photograph of Agent 47's face, reports of four additional deaths, and one other injured.
- Several rapid changes were made to the background story during its development, making parts of it not correlate with each other. The drunken Santa says it is April, and Diana's audio briefing claims it is a Tax Day party, which should have happened on April 15, 2004. The bartender calls Chad Bingham, Jr. "the Gubernatorial mistake" in a dialogue, suggesting that Senator Bingham was initially supposed to be a Governor. The videotape that must be acquired is titled "Governor's Son". Also, there is no US Air Force Pilot mentioned in the Intel.
- The editorial at the bottom of the mission newspaper states that it will not be published on December 25th (tomorrow) because the staff is on strike, although it publishes monthly.
Easter Eggs[]
- The mission's name references the holiday song "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town". It also serves as a hidden warning with Franchise assassin waiting for Agent 47.
