The Yuzhong District is the central district and heart of Chongqing, a Chinese megacity and municipality, and the setting of End of an Era, the fourth mission of HITMAN™ III.
Description[]
A major transportation hub, the Yuzhong District features intersecting and interweaving metro rail lines and gondola cable cars that streak above and around neon-lit city streets, rain-soaked back alleys, shops, walkways, apartments and incomplete high-rises. The district has a clear view of Chongqing's shining CBD across the Yangtze.
Tucked away in corners of the district are homeless encampments, its population preyed upon by The Block, a human laboratory masquerading as a homeless shelter. Hidden underneath a restaurant and expanding into the city underground is a sterile, pre-fabricated data facility used by the ICA.
HITMAN III[]
With support from Olivia Hall, Agent 47 travels to the district in order to eliminate ICA archivists Hush and Imogen Royce so that he can hack into the data center and expose the agency to the public.
Trivia[]
- The setting is based on the real Yuzhong District.
- The Chinese characters on the gate are "渝中北区欢迎您". However, "渝中北区" means "Yuzhongbei District".
